Ethan Andrews was the hero when he scored at the 8:40 mark of overtime to give his team the gold medals.

The evenly matched clubs were tied 2-2 after 20 minutes and after SAIT went ahead by two in the middle frame, SJHL fought back with one tally in the second and another in the third to force overtime. Gavin Granger, Russ Demo, Anthony Campbell and Ewan Rennie supplied the other markers for SJHL.

Colby Bear, with two, Austin Reschny and Owen Underhill scored for the silver medal winning squad. SJHL goalie Brady Holtvogt stopped 26 of 30 shots, while SAIT netminder turned away 24 of 29 shots.
