In 2022, a committee was established to begin working toward a Viking Cup Rebirth at some point in the next few years. Through hard work and dedication of the committee, collegiate teams from around the world were engaged to come to Camrose in December 2025 for the Innaugural Viking Cup Rebirth. 

Teams from Europe, the United States as well as Canada arrived in Camrose December 2025 to compete in the Rebirth of the Viking Cup. The SJHL U20 Selects defetaed the SAIT Trojans 5-4 in overtime in the champion ship game with the Czechia University All Stars winning Bronze.
